Latest Update:

Got rid of a few games since the last update. I have come full circle in my method of collecting. When I first started I would buy everything in sight. Then I started to buy games I wanted to fix up and restore. I still like to restore the games and do take on a project here and there but I am mostly at the point now where I prefer to find a really nice example of a MUST HAVE game. This has worked out well in my last few purchases. Of course some times you have to take what you can get...
I picked up a nice Spy Hunter Cockpit on Ebay over the last few months. It was in Maine and real close to my Dad so I bought it and am storing it there for the time being. I always wanted one and my Mom chipped in some early Birthday Money to got towards it so I took the plunge and bought it. It has it's own page up in the Games I Own section. I will take better pictures once it's in the game room. Special thanks to my Father in Law Bob and Nephew David for helping me pick up and move the game. There is no way I could have done it without them.
And last but not least a few weeks ago the wife and I went to....California Extreme!!!! If you have never been I must say it is truly the experience of a lifetime. 500 Classic Arcade Games all privately owned and working 100%. There were guest speakers, a film festival showing Chasing Ghosts and King of Kong plus much much more. I interviewed with Jeff Ward who is filming a documentary called "Space Invaders Americans Underground Arcades." He is going to come out and film the Realm!!! I got to meet up with several collectors off the KLOV Arcade Forum that I frequent as well. It is going to be a yearly event for me no question about it. It is simply awesome. Below are some pictures from the event. Among them are a group shot of the forum members of KLOV and myself with Mark and Brian in the movie King Of Kong. Until next time...

Been a couple of months since the last update. Well I finally finished up the second part of the Game Room. My wonderful wife Christina got tired of hearing me whine about it so she basically LOCKED me in the basement one weekend and ordered me to finish it. I was allowed to come up and have dinner though... Anyway new pictures are up on the Game Room page as well as a new video to view. We are all pleased how it turned out especially my daughter Alexis as she now wants to go down there ALL the time. Let this be a lesson folks.... Be careful what you wish for.
I Also got 3 more games up and running that have been hanging out in the garage for the past 3 months. Each has it's own page now to view. The games that have been added are TUTANKHAM, Dr. Mario, and Out Run. The new 80's video of the moment on the opening page is Magic by the CARS.
I attended the YORK, PA auction on May 5th and well I'll just say it was pretty bad and leave it at that....I didn't buy anything and there was nothing that even remotely caught my interest at all. As for the next project I'd really like to get my TRON up and running. I ordered all new Art Work for it and managed to find the back doors I was missing, but I still need to fix the PCB and get the power supply running so I can see what condition the monitor is in. Fun times ahead....
And finally I have some Easter Pictures to share. Alexis did very well collecting eggs and had the cutest Easter Dress that was a gift from my Mother. All in all a very special day.

A few months ago I sent Kevin Steele the editor of Game Room Magazine an article I wrote about my passion for Arcade Games. He runs a monthly colum called Confessions of a Coin Op Addict and prints out stories from collectors about their game rooms and the adventures that they have experienced over the years. Well, I received my issue today and my article is there in full color with a couple of nice photos of myself and a few machines. To say I'm pleased would be an understatement because knowing that my grand kids will be able to google me in the future and find this article definitely brings a smile to my face. I have had this story on my about me page since the site has been up. If you don't subscribe to game room please do, it is a great read and gets better by the month. But just in case you don't here is a link to my article. Once again thank you to Kevin and all the staff at Game Room Magazine for making this possible. I truly appreciate it. And on a side note it was also announced in this months issue that James McGovern is moving on to other projects and will no longer be writing for Game Room Mag so I'd like to say thanks for your efforts James and good luck in the future.
